Warranty

Your house is protected by a comprehensive 5-year warranty, ensuring peace of mind and long-lasting quality. It is constructed from high-quality spruce, which is left in its natural, machined timber state. To maintain the integrity and durability of the wood, it is essential that the timber is treated properly. This means applying a primer followed by two top coats of high-quality paint immediately after construction. Failure to follow these painting guidelines will render the warranty void, so it is crucial to complete this step as soon as possible after the house is built.

Additionally, we strongly advise you to keep all documentation included with your house package in a safe place. These documents contain important information regarding maintenance, care, and warranty coverage, which may be required in case of any future claims.

Warranty Exclusions

While we strive to ensure the highest quality, certain natural characteristics of timber and specific conditions are not covered by the warranty. These include:

  • Natural Properties of Timber: Wood is a natural material, and variations in its structure are normal and expected.

  • Colour Tone Variations: Differences in wood grain and colour tone that do not impact the lifespan or performance of the wood.

  • Small Cracks and Gaps: Minor surface cracks or gaps that do not pass through the timber and do not affect the overall structural integrity of the house.

  • Slightly Twisted Wood Components: Pieces of wood that may have slight twists but are still installable.

  • Surface Imperfections on Hidden Areas: Roof boards and floorboards may have non-planed surfaces or colour differences on the concealed side, which do not affect their functionality.

  • Normal Wear and Tear: The warranty does not cover deterioration caused by regular use over time.

  • Failure to Properly Paint and Protect the Timber: If the wood is not treated with primer and two coats of quality paint as instructed, the warranty will not be valid.

  • Installation-Related Issues: Problems caused by improper installation, including houses that subside due to incorrectly built or insufficient foundations.

  • Modifications Made by the Owner: Any issues arising from structural changes or custom modifications made after installation will not be covered.

Warranty Claims

If a defect or issue falls within the warranty’s coverage, we will address it by replacing any missing or faulty components, or as required by applicable law. Please note that any additional claims beyond this, including compensation for consequential damages or additional costs, are excluded from the warranty.
